A traditional CORE/Satellite strategies may contain fixed income investments, but the family has historically had an equity oriented approach to core. With a primary objective of beating inflation after taxes, fees and consumption, fixed income has been only a small part of the mix. COVE manages core equity with a strong appreciation of the challenge of beating an index in a taxable portfolio and has an indexing-orientation to managing around legacy holdings.
Satellite Investments
To complement CORE positions, COVE seeks uncorrelated strategies and opportunities for portfolio diversification and volatility dampening. These include Hedge Funds Real Estate and other strategies that can demonstrate their after-tax and and fee effectiveness.
Core investment help weather the storm. Volatility is a hindrance to long-term returns, and after-tax, after-fee returns are what really matter. The Core is the COVE of safety and stability.
